The Season for Letting Go

As another holiday season approaches, so returns the knotted stomach over get togethers with those who have hurt us in the past. If Christ could forgive, so should we, but it can be hard for mere mortals. It’s not like these were isolated slights. We are talking repeated attempts to shame and change. The concept of acceptance is preached but not practiced. Let it start with me goes the saying. Let me forgive. 7 times 70. That is a lot of arrows to take, and I doubt my ability for such selflessness. Throw rocks at someone enough times, and they will stop approaching your watering hole.
